Zac in the hospital

Zac was in the hospital last weekend. He was taken to the ER and had pneumonia. He did great on getting the IV in and didn't cry a bit. He did get toys, cookies, M & Ms, books and balloons so all in all he didn't make out too bad. LOL

You know alls well....when you sister is right by your side, watching movies with you!!

Grill/marathon/kalebs graduation/parade/Toms house/color run

 Since Mothers day, there has been lots of stuff going on. Don got a new BBQ grill from the kids for his B-day. Kim and I decided to put it together for him, I mean how tough can it really be???

 Well......2 hrs, 45 mi later TADA!! 1 new BBQ grill and it works fantastic!!! Not that Don ever cooks on it but he likes the food that IS cooked on it ☺

Kim ran her 1st 1/2 marathon in Rockford. She did good, we were so proud of her and she kept running but she was tired by the end. says she wont be doing another one for awhile lol

 Kaleb graduated from Preschool!! YAY, Kindergarden and every day school come August 14, not like we are counting or anything!!! lol He went to a wonderful preschool and had the best 2 teachers!!

 Kaleb LOVES to dress up in his suit and there is another little girl in his class that likes to dress up as much as he does. Don't they look cute and take a look at her shoes, lol

 Next was the Memorial day parade. Jason was driving the Loves Park ladder truck and so Zac got to ride in it with his dad. You cant see Zac but he is in there waving to everyone!!

 Tom bought himself his very own house and closed on it this week. It is 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage, nice deck and yard. It is a pretty good size home and he is so excited and ready to make it his own, so we are excited about that. Now....I have an empty basement to figure out what to do with ☺

 

Today was the Color Vibe run in Belvidere. It was a 5 K and so Kim and her friends ran it. There are a zillion people that run/walk and so they started them in waves. We saw them in the beginning and not again until the end, there were just way too many people there but it was fun for the kids and I to watch.

Zac's Cubbie Award Ceremony

 This year Zac was old enough to go Awana's with Kyla and Kaleb at Maywood Free Church. Zac was in the 3 yr old Cubbie's.

 Last Wednesday night, they had the graduation ceremony for the Cubbies:

 

They recited some Bible verses together as a group:

 

And they sang some songs along with the hand motions:

Then Zac was presented with his Cubbie award certificate. He also got a little stuffed Cubbie to wear on his vest. In talking with his teacher, we learned that:
He is quiet and does just what he is told,
He listens and answers the questions right,
He doesnt talk or jump or act crazy in class,
He has no stories for the teacher about his family,
He is the perfect kid and they all love him.
I am asking myself, Are they talking about the same kid  that we all know and love??? LOL

 Bailey was so Happy for Zac, that she ran up and gave him a BIG hug over and over again. Everyone around thought that it was so cute and of course, it was. :-)

 Then came refreshment time and dodge ball time. The leader said that this is the kids favorite game to play at Cubbies. They certainly know what to do because there were balls going everywhere.

 Bailey fit right in and was not intimidated one bit with the big kids. WHY does this not surprise anyone??? LOL

 She was running around just like they were and throwing the ball. It was fun to watch the kids play.

Our new car!!

Dons old work car died towards the end of last year. We have been sharing cars and also using Kim's too. Today we were able to get another car. It isnt new but new to us. It is a Navy blue, Chrysler 300M. It has low miles, a sun roof which is really cool, power seats, heated seats, a huge trunk, new tires, cool rims, programmable seats, leather interior, CD player, A/C, and some other bells and whistles, so we are living large here LOL

We just think it is really sharp and I think it will make a great car for us!!

Attacked by Spiders!!

We had a Spider attack!! well..maybe not real like yucky spiders but some really ferocious ones!! They are in attack mode, we weren't sure what they were going to do. So what do we do to protect ourselves??

So....if you ever get spiders, now you know what to do LOL

Easter Time

Kyla and Kaleb Easter morning!!

That afternoon we went to Valerie's for dinner and a egg hunt. Now for some reason, I wasnt really with it and I didnt realize that they had started looking for eggs, so the egg pics are pretty spars. There were tons of them all over the place but of course, I have NO picture of it, LOL

Wisconsin Dells Trip

When Jessica, and the kids were here to visit, we decided to take the kids to the Dells to the indoor water park. We went to the Chula Vista and it was very nice...great water park. The Chula Vista is outside of town in the country a bit so it was very pretty and you could see cabins around and it was even snowing.

We got a condo large enough for 11 of us. It was really nice and had 2 bedrooms, 2 fireplaces, 3 Tv's, a full kitchen, and a hot tub in the room. We just got there and Kaleb came running out of the bedroom and announced that we have a pizza phone!! I went and looked and he saw the pizza button on this phone and thought that this was just our phone to order pizza, LOL He was quite excited about this find!!

 It didn't take long for the kids to get dressed and ready to hit the water park.

 Bailey really liked the water and especially the bubbles that came out of the pool.

 Everyone LOVED the lazy river. You could go around as long as you wanted, either on tube or swimming.

 2 tired and cold boys!! LOL

 Back in our room was the whirl pool and the kids loved that too. They had several swimming sessions.

Since we had the phone, we had to order pizza!! LOL A few cartoons before bed:

The next morning we hit the water park again. They have tunnels to get to the water park from the condos. There are 2 sections with animals and I wanted pictures of them by the animals. Now, you aren't suppose to touch and whose kids are touching?? LOL Sometimes when you see a sign not to touch, Hey!! You cant help but....touch it LOL

The 2nd day, Kyla got brave enough to go down one of the enclosed slides with Kim. She wasn't too sure about them the first day and she was still kind of nervous but she did it and she liked it. It is all dark going down the tube and then it takes you to a circle which is all lighted up for several loops around and back down the dark tubes again. Apparently when they slid out of the tubes at the bottom, their tube flipped over and I don't think she was a big fan of that happening!! LOL The tubes were alot of fun. Everyone was swam out so we changed and headed home but....you cant leave until you play the arcade games. Ignore the fact that of what they spent on tickets to play the games, you could have gotten the prizes at the party store for .25 LOL but.....then I guess they wouldn't experience the fun of game playing!!

It was alot of fun and it gave the kids time together and made memories!!
