Chelsie's and Garrett's wedding

This past Saturday night, my niece got married to Garrett. He is a great guy and we all love him. He is the perfect match for Chelsie. Her dress was very beautiful, plain and simple with a bit of wow, a very "Chelsie" dress.

Uncle Jon brought his girlfriend Ruth for us all to meet. Ruth lives in Madison WI and she was very nice and friendly and we all really liked her. We are looking forward to seeing at the next wedding in July.

The reception was at a very nice place in Rockton. The food was great and we all got stuffed. The kids couldn't wait to start dancing. I think  Bailey started her own dance all by herself!!

It was so much fun, and poor little Zac danced his heart out and he was so HOT! LOL He took off his socks and almost his shirt!! But we all had a great time. Congratulations to Chelsie and Garrett!!

A 2nd grader and a graduate

We now have a 2nd grader and a graduate!! Kyla has passed from 1st grade to 2nd grade by the skin of her teeth LOL She only got straight A's!!

Zac and the I-pod

This Is Zac. He is 2 yrs old, he will be 3 on June 16th. In this day of technology, it is so weird to see a 2 yr old play on his very own I-pod!! He just flicks the screen like he knows what he is doing LOL and the funny thing is...he does know what he is doing?? Plus he can eat a cupcake and drink his chocolate milk and still play his game. What a multi-tasker!! LOL

When my kids were little, they didnt have anything like this. The had an etch a sketch or those tablets where you write with the pen and then lift the page to erase LOL How times have changed. Makes me wonder what their kids will be doing ya know??

Guess what we have in our neighborhood??

For several days now, we have been hearing music playing off in the distance but it was never really close. Last night it was so loud cuz our new ice-cream truck was on the next street over. Kaleb was in the bathtub and let me tell you that was the fastest bath he has ever had so that the kids could get some ice-cream!! LOL

Then this afternoon, it came down our street. So I got the kids some ice-cream today. I am all over this cuz when I was little there used to be an ice-cream truck and my mom never let me buy anything and I hated that. So we are buying whenever it comes down our street. And as we were buying it, the lady doing it used to work at the grocery store in town here and I always went through her line. She loves her new job and she starts the truck about 4pm until 8:30 or so. Pretty good idea!!

Our tooth brush holders

I saw this on Pinterest last week and I saved it. Kyla and Kaleb brush their teeth on the main floor bathroom and there are brushes laying around. As soon as I saw this, I knew it was perfect. When Kim and I were garage sailing last Thursday, I found the perfect jars, I was thrilled. I took some wood, painted it and sanded it for that shabby look.....

wired the jar on and painted thier names on their jar. I think they came out pretty good. Kyla is a Pink girl through and through...

and Kaleb was happy to see his favorite color too.

They fit on this small wall and they look great. I had a talk with them that their tooth brush and tooth paste go right back into the jar or else.......LOL

Tons of Balloons!!

Today, I gave Don a Balloon Party. You see he is going to be 60 this Monday and he didn't want a party but yet I wanted to do something special for him. I got 60 balloons and 60 friends and family to write him a special birthday message and I attached each message to one balloon. He was quite surprised to come home and find all the balloons!

Once he sat down, he read ALL 60 of his messages. He loved them all and he said he didn't even know that he had 60 friends LOL Here is Don, Bailey, Kyla and Kaleb. The kids tooted their horns when he came through the door and yelled surprise!!

Afterwards the kids had fun playing with the balloons!!

I think weeds should be outlawed!!

Earlier this Spring, it got really warm, and it was warm enough for the weeds to grow, lol NOW......I hate weeds and I HATE weeding!! I think weeds should be outlawed!! LOL When Addy was here, she dug up and chewed several rose bushes and low and behold I have 3 rose bushes that came back this year. I hate to admit this but the tall one in the middle isn't a tall rose bush, it is a GIANT dandelion behind the small rose bush!! :-) It was even driving me crazy so when it was warm and not raining I decided to get this cleaned up a bit.

Here we go, this is more like it. And I actually see rose buds on the roses yay!!

While I was on roll, (since I HATE weeding, did I mention that??? LOL so when I get on a roll, I've learned don't stop~~just keep on rolling!!) I kept on and weeded around to the back of the yard and got all of those weeds out. It does look pretty good now. I would have done more but we ran out of yard bags! Darn!!! LOL

I looked today and there are a bunch of rose buds and even roses!! I am so excited but you know that those darn weeds are gonna be right back there don't you?? Guess what?? I have Roses!!

I generally have a very black thumb. These roses come up no matter what lol. My dad grew beautiful flowers but I didn't inheritant one teeny ounce of flower growing. Luckily for these Roses, they know how to do their own thing !! LOL
