Jessica and Tyler come to visit~~

WOW!! I am way behind here, lol Guess I spend too much time on Jazzi's blog, I will try to catch up here.

Since Jess and Scott couldn't come for Christmas, Jessica and Tyler were able to come between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We always enjoy the time they can come and see us. Right away, Tyler found the toolbox and was tightening up the screws under the table. He's a very diligent worker, that's for sure:Kaleb had trouble sharing his toolbox and his Uncle Tom and his Grandpa. Luckily, I had 2 toolboxes so I split up the tools in each box and everyone was happy again. Kaleb did get used to sharing with Tyler.Jessica and Tyler got to see Baby Zac. Last time they were here in July, Tyler wasn't a fan of him but he liked him much better this time.We were able to get some Christmas pictures in front of the tree of the 3 kids with santa caps on and Zachary later with his santa cap.We even got brave and went and had all the grandkids pictures taken together. My sister had bought them all their outfits, and it was hard to get them all smiling at the same time!! Allissa and Zac:All 8 of the grandkids:And Kim, Jessica, Valerie and Tom:It turned out perfect that Jess came when she did because Tom found out that he would be graduating while she was here, so she got to see him graduate. That was cool and we are happy to say that Tom graduated without owing any school debt. After his graduation, we had a big pizza party and just hung out and had fun.
Jessica and Tyler both wanted snow while they were here, so we got snow alright. Being from Texas, they got pretty cold in it and Tyler looks like an Eskimo~~Jess pulled Tyler and Kyla in the sled~~ And Tyler got to make Snow angels~~While grandpa was out shoveling, he put Tyler on top of the car. I think he felt pretty cool up there!!The boys did play pretty good together. It gets better each visit and as they get older too. Kaleb has a slide going down his bunkbed and they both like going down the slide in wierd ways.
I had made Tyler a quiet book for him for the plane ride home. It had about 7-9 pages in it and it gave him something new for the plane.Tom bought his car while Jess was here too. He will be heading down to San Antonio right after Christmas and will be living with Jess and Scott for 3 months for his internship. The time went by so fast as it always does and so soon enough, Tom and I were taking them back to Ohare. But...on the way, Tyler was able to see his grandpa drive by in his car and he thought that it was pretty cool. I got a picture of the truck but wasnt fast enough for the tractor.

We made it to the airport in time and they got home safe and sound. We were glad that they were able to visit.

She's a dancin...Queen

Kim has had Kyla try different things to find out what she is good at and what she likes. She has done basketball and soccer so far. Kim signed Kyla up for a dance class. Before Kyla could go, she had to do the important stuff like buy a cool outfit. Of course it had to be PINK!!!!But, there were many decisions to be made:

Plain pink or printed pink?
Pink with or without designs on it?
Pink with skirt attached or unattached?
Pink or white tights?

Finally the decision was made and the Perfect outfit was bought and so last Thursday, Kyla was on her way to her first dance class.

I think she will like dance, since Sydney and Katie both dance. Here are the 3 steps that she learned so far in order.

TADA!!! doesn't she look like a real ballerina????

We painted, We cut and they trick or treated!!

Because I am behind on what we have been doing, this is kinda long.
I started working on costumes a couple weeks ago. Kyla wanted to be a fairy princess with a pink dress. Kim found a big pink adult size dress with big poofy sleeves, probably someone's dreaded bridesmaid dress LOL at the goodwill store and it went from this:

to this and Kim got her new pink fairy wings and a crown. Kaleb was pretty easy. He was going to be a pirate and I painted red stripes on a white shirt, sewed a pirate belt and Kim got him some black pants and a pirate hat and he was all set. I made Jazzi into a skeleton. I made the bones out of this special plastic paper that glows in the dark, It is really cool. This picture is taken outside in the dark but with the flash you cant tell. She wore it around all afternoon and evening and everyone who came to the door could see her cuz she glowed!! Allissa and her 2 friends are bunnies, so Zac was a carrot.
The week of Halloween, we got the pumpkins. They each got a big one and each little ones. They painted the little ones and they both had fun and liked doing that: And ooppss....Zac got into some of the paint!!! LOL
Since Kim had to work towards the end of the week, closer to Halloween, we cut the pumpkins on Tuesday hoping that they would be ok: Kaleb wasnt into this AT all but Kyla just loved the goup, seeds, cutting and all, so she had fun. Oh, and of course, I made one for Jazzi. Zac had fun watching and he wore the Pumpkin hat!! LOL
They were going to be gone Saturday night so I fixed the Halloween dinner Friday night. We had mummy dogs, (hotdogs/wrapped in dough)
Monster teeth and goop (apple slices and carmel dip), witch toenails (french fries) and skeleton bones and vampire blood , (bread sticks and pizza sauce) and witch brew (orange juice)
And they made graveyard dirt (chocolate pudding) with gummy worms
only to find that they dont like pudding dirt, LOL Oh well!!!
Friday night, Kyla says her pumpkin fell over. O am thinking ok, they are playing rough etc and knocked the thing over. I go into the living room and find this pumpkin all rotting and sunken. We never noticed it before so it must have just happened, so I got them both to the trash. And.....we never even got pictures with the darn pumpkins yet!! Arrggg
When Kim called that she was on her way home from work, I said well....we now know that cutting pumpkins 4 days before Halloween is too soon!!! Kyla wanted to get another pumpkin, so Sat morning, Kim took them and bought just 1 more this time, so we could get pictures. Here is a pictures of the one new pumpkin: They dont look excited but they were, I have that crazy 4 second flash!!! lol
And Kaleb is checking out this candle thing, I am thinking, he is wondering how he can get this candle out to play with it,LOL And last but not least, Aunt Kim with Zac. Poor Aunt Kim seems to always get left out of pictures for some reason. So, the munchkins left with Mom, went trick or treating with Valerie and Jason and I got dad and I subway and we just chilled the whole evening. It was very quiet and relaxing!!
Now, they each have a bag of candy for us to go through and get out the good stuff, that of course, they shouldnt eat!! hehehe
